Applications for Year 7 places in the academic year commencing September 2027
The online portal is now open for you to submit your preference for your child's secondary school place. Submitting your application on time is important; last year, 94% of on-time applicants were offered their first preference school.
The national closing date for the receipt of online applications is 31 October 2026. The national offer day is 1 April 2027.
The link for Year 7 admissions is: Apply for a secondary school place
If your child has an EHCP, your application for a secondary school place will be handled by SENART after the EHCP review meeting has taken place in the first half of the Autumn term. If you have any queries about the process, please contact Miss Hunt, SENCO, at the school or SENART, on 01924 302465 or email SENART@wakefield.gov.uk.
